The APC chieftain noted that, although all powers belong to God and He gives to whoever He wishes, however, the good people of Oyo State have reaffirmed their confidence in the governor’s performance.

He added that the outcome of the election had indicated that the residents have placed their hopes in Governor Makinde, urging him to expand prosperity and improve the security of the state during this second term.

The statement read in part, “it is only God that gives power, man cannot achieve anything unless God approves of it. I want to specifically congratulate Governor Seyi Makinde on a remarkable run and by extension the lawmakers in Ido and Ibarapa East Local Governments for their successful returns to the state house of assembly.

“Your Excellency, it is imperative to also state that millions of Oyo State residents have placed their hopes in you, and all of us, regardless of political party, hope for expanded prosperity and security of lives and property during your tenure.I, therefore wish you to be magnanimous in victory”, the statement concluded.

Oseni expressed immense gratitude and appreciation to his supporters including communities, associations, volunteers as well as leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the federal constituency for their massive support throughout the elections cycle.
