Friends and colleagues have taken to social media to jubilate over the release of Jessey John and Gaius Gambo, two of the train passengers abducted by terrorists in Kaduna.

The terrorists that attacked the Abuja-Kaduna bound AK9 train on March, 28, released 11 out of the 61 abducted train passengers, after almost three months in captivity.

Alhaji Tukur Mamu, the negotiator and media consultant to controversial cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, said the 11 victims were released on Saturday, June 11.

Names of the released victims, five males and six females are: Amina Ba’aba Mohammed, Rashida Yusuf Busari, Jessey John, Hannah Ajewole, Amina Jibril, Najib Mohammed Dahiru, Hassan Aliyu, Peace A. Boy, Danjuma Sa’idu and Gaius Gambo.

One other boy whose name was not released was among those released.

Friends of Jessey John and Gaius Gambo have taken to Facebook to express their joy over the release of the victims.

“Our God never sleeps nor slumbers and is a God that answer when we call on him. My heart is overwhelmed with joy and happiness. Thank God for freeing you from the camp of your abductors Jesse John and Gaius Gambo and others who were also abducted. Miss you so much brothers!” Chtan Joe Zaks wrote.
