The General overseer of Holy Ghost Christ Evangelical Mission intl. Based in Ibadan Pastor Elijah OLUFASI has told Nigerians to do away with prophecies on respect to the 2023 general elections and allow God to choose and decide for us. OLUFASI said this during the Sunday worship service while addressing congregants in his message titled: God- The selector of good governance. He emphasises the fact that only God can choose for us in Nigeria if we are to experience God in our governance. He referenced Hosea 8:4 where it is stated that “they set up king’s ,but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols,that they may be cut off. He further referenced Daniel 4:25 where the Bible says “only the MOST HIGH RULETH IN THE KINGDOM OF MEN, AND GIVETH IT TO WHOMSOEVER HE WILL.
pastor OLUFASI made a call to all Generals in the christiandom to detest from anointing a particular candidate or saying prophecies about what will happen and what will not but rather, bring people to the understanding of the will of God through the word of God.
PROPHECIES have failed us and will keep failing us if we don’t align to the will of God to choose for us as a Nation.
He further emphasized that “experience, wealth, exposure, expertise are not enough to rule us as a country but Only the wisdom of God is needed and God can only give his wisdom to whosoever he chooses. David wasn’t qualified at all to be the King, he was the least of all the candidates but he was appointed and consequently anointed by God to rule the children of Israel. In acts 1:20-26, the Apostles appointed Mathias because they felt he’s well exposed and understands everything about Jesus Christ but after they voted him in, what did he achieve? What was recorded of him afterwards? But, when God was ready to choose, he chose a notorious criminal and a serial killer – SAUL on his was to Damascus and he became the greatest of all the Apostles. Let us all the will of God to be done. Don’t start mentioning names of people or persons you think would do it better but always tell God to choose for us” he said.
Earlier during the service, Lady Evang OLUFASI also made a call out to congregants to let the will of God prevail and to detest from any act that would bring shame to the household of God.
