Veteran actor Pete Edochie and wife, Josephine celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on Sunday, October 2.
May Edochie, wife of Edochie’s son, Yul, celebrated the couple on her Instagram page. However, her message had since sparked reaction on social media.
Yul and May’s estranged marriage had been the subject of social media trends, after Yul welcomed a son with second wife, Judy Austin in July.
Her message on Instagram read, “Pls fam join me to celebrate the great @peteedochie and his adorable wife. We are grateful to the Almighty for the gift of life. 53 years and counting! May God continue to strengthen you both and give you peace”.
Reacting to the message, @akosuamansah_ on Instagram said, “She didn’t use father-in-law. Happy anniversary legend.”
@euphrosa said, “She’s tactful not to call them father-in-law and mother-in-law. Great Pete Edochie and his wife. Prodigal son will stain everybody’s white.”
@devivsignature added, “Your sense of maturity has made me respect you more.”
