The Oke-ogun-born former Head of Service in Oyo State, Mrs Hannah Olawunmi Ogunesan, CON, has assured the people of Oyo North Senatorial District that, if offerred her party ticket and eventually got elected as their Senator, she would adopt the well-documented, award-winning human capital and infrastructural development strides of Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, CON, while serving as Senator representing Lagos Central .
She gave this assurance while formally intimating representatives of Party Elders and Leaders from accross the four LGs of Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Iwajowa and Kajola making up the Federal Constituency, of his intention to fly the flag of All Progressives Congress Party-APC, as Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, come 2027.

She assured the party faithfuls present that; “as a core administrator of many years, who rose to the administrative pinnacle where i had the opportunity to serve my people of Oyo State as Head of Service under the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, coupled with my interactions with both the high and low, at the state and national levels; and as a consistent party loyalist, women’s rights defender, i feel adequately equiped with both the administrative and political acumen to make impacts in the lives of our people of Oyo North Senatorial District”

She appealed to party members to embrace unity, understanding and spirit of quick forgiveness towards one another, as that is the only panacea for conquering electoral losses, “we definitely cannot continue to lose elections based on lack of cohesion, unity and forgiveness within our party”, she admonished.

Abu Adejare Gbadamosi, from Kajola applauded the courage of the Aspirant, praised her deep consultative approach and her persistent call for unity within the party, which, in itself, is the needed foundation for our anticipated electoral victory at all levels: from the Presidential, Senatorial, House of Representatives, Governorship, state assembly and local governments.

All other Speakers spoke in the same vein; with lots of prayers for the realisation of the Aspirant’s ambition, while equally supporting calls for unity and steadfastness amongst party members. They urged Aspirants on the party’s platform to refrain from the unholy practice of Aspirants who lost to fellow member Aspirants during party internal elections (primaries) from porting to other parties.
