Former Chairman Of The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), and a Senatorial Aspirant; Professor Adeolu Akande has congratulated Christian faithfuls on the successful completion of the Lent season of self-discipline, supplications and prayers.
In a statement by his media office, he extends his heart felt Easter wishes to Christians across Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, Nigeria and the globe in general. He prays that their forty days fasting, prayers and supplications will receive positive response from the Almighty God.
He urged them further to allow peace and love that the season preaches to be their watchword, while emphasising the importance of prayers for both our leaders as well as the nation.
According to him, Nigeria and her leaders need the support and guidance of God in their quest for better life for all citizens, in that regard it becomes necessary for citizens to support their leaders with prayers in their relentless efforts to lead them aright.
He advised Christians not to allow the teachings of the Lent period go with it, adding that sacrifice and love are virtues that exalt nations.
