The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announces a successful raid on a clandestine skuchies factory in Ibadan, Oyo state’s Moniya area. Operatives conducted the operation on January 11, uncovering the facility operated by 28-year-old Oyadeji Dimeji. The seized items include 76.6kg of cannabis sativa, 134 grams of tramadol, 93 grams of rophynol, and 50 litres of skuchies—a liquid mixture containing psychoactive substances.

In Ondo state, four suspects were arrested at De-Rock View Hotel, Akure North LGA, with 524.5kg of cannabis. Another suspect, Aniekeme Eyibio, 26, was apprehended at Ala forest, Akure North LGA, with 293.5kg of the same substance and a Dane gun.
In Edo state, 67-year-old Franklin Eze was arrested at Otuo, Owan East LGA, with 454 blocks of cannabis weighing 311kg in his Lexus salon car marked EBM 812.
AA, Abdullahi Shuaibu, 43, was nabbed in Kogi state with 43 blocks of compressed cannabis weighing 22kg and three pinches of methamphetamine. In Katsina state, Danladi Adamu, 24, was arrested during a buy and bust operation at Kurmi Primary School in Malumfashi metropolis with 25.5kg of cannabis sativa.
Gombe operatives arrested Sulaiman Mohammed at Lapandimtai, Kaltungo, with 47 blocks of the same substance weighing 30kg concealed in two sacks of groundnut.
Additionally, 42-year-old Taofeek Yusuf was arrested in Lagos with 324 bags containing illicit drugs. This followed the arrest of Godwin ThankGod at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
ThankGod, bound for Milan, was intercepted with five cartons containing 50 bottles of codeine syrup and 300 tablets of rohypnol concealed in his luggage.
The NDLEA continues its vigilant actions in the ongoing battle against drug-related crimes, ensuring the apprehension of traffickers and the seizure of illicit substances.
