Dipesh Kothar expressed frustration, stating, “It’s very frustrating to sit and watch the world do nothing.” The marches held significance amid US and British air strikes in Yemen, responding to Huthi attacks in solidarity with Gaza.
The day of action, involving protests in 30 countries, aimed at demanding a permanent cease-fire and political settlement.
Kate Hudson of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, part of the organizing coalition, stressed the need for the British government to condemn Israel’s actions in Gaza and join the international community in denouncing perceived war crimes.
