The Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) has strongly denied the online claim that Governor Seyi Makinde sacked over a hundred staff.

In a statement released in Ibadan on Saturday, the BCOS management declared the report misleading and entirely false.

The statement clarified that the BCOS, like any other organization, has merely asked freelance and contract staff to reapply and renew their appointments as part of routine procedures within a one-month timeframe.

The management categorically described the mass sack report as fabricated falsehood, suggesting it to be a sponsored attempt aimed at unnecessarily involving the Governor in controversy.

Emphasizing the misinformation, the BCOS management urged the public to exercise caution and be wary of falsehoods originating from any sources regarding the Corporation’s affairs.

The statement aims to set the record straight and counter the misleading narrative circulating online.
