Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, signed the 2024 appropriation Bill on Wednesday, affirming his administration’s readiness to implement the budget for the realization of the shared prosperity agenda.
The 2024 Appropriation, titled ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth and Development,’ was presented to the governor by the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, and other principal officers at the Exco Chamber of the Governor’s Office in Ado Ekiti
The 2024 Budget estimate stands at N159,572,481,915.51, allocating 56% for Recurrent Expenditure and 44% for Capital Expenditure.
During the budget signing, Governor Oyebanji reiterated his administration’s commitment to full implementation, aiming to drive sustainable growth and enhance the standard of living for the people of Ekiti State.
The budget is anticipated to stimulate economic activities, create job opportunities, and improve the overall socio-economic landscape.
Expressing gratitude to the Speaker and Members of the House of Assembly for their meticulous review, Governor Oyebanji highlighted the Assembly’s role as a reliable partner in the state’s development agenda.
The budget signing ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Governor, Chief (Monisade Afuye), members of the state House of Assembly, and the state executive council.
