A Canadian investigation team is presently in Abuja, delving into the recent explosion at the Canadian High Commission in Nigeria.
The incident, which occurred on November 6, resulted in two fatalities and left two individuals injured.
In response, the commission temporarily suspended its operations, although the visa application centers in Lagos and Abuja remained open.
According to a statement by Demilade Kosemani, a Public Affairs staff member of the commission, the investigation team comprises technical experts from Canada.
Their primary objective is to conduct a formal investigation, aiming to determine the factors and conditions that led to the explosion.
The statement, released on Tuesday, emphasized the collaborative efforts between the Canadian team and relevant Nigerian authorities in line with their respective mandates.
