Nigerians had expressed concerns about potential disruptions to visa application processes following the suspension.

The commission emphasizes that immigration, refugee, and citizenship applications are still being processed.

In a statement by its public affairs staff, Demilade Kosemani, the commission reassures clients, stating, “Regardless of the suspension of operations at the High Commission of Canada in Abuja, the Visa Application Centres in Abuja and Lagos remain open.”

This clarification aims to address fears among Nigerians about the impact on visa application procedures and emphasizes the continued availability of services during this challenging time.
