The Ibadan Mogajis, Chiefs, and concerned individuals of Ibadanland assert that Alhaja Saratu Konibaje is the rightful Iyaloja of Oyo State.
They emphasize that any process other than the due process that led to Alhaja Konibaje’s selection is invalid.
The statement, endorsed by the President of the Association of Ibadan Mogajis, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori, and the Coordinator of Ibadan Security Initiative, urges an alleged impostor to cease their claims.
The group contends that the emergence of Alhaja Konibaje resulted from the collective decision of market men and women.

Contrary to the belief that the Babaloja of Oyo State being from Ibadan should preclude the Iyaloja from the same region, the statement dismisses this notion.
It stresses that Alhaja Konibaje’s appointment followed due process, orchestrated by market stakeholders from the 33 local governments across the state.
The group firmly opposes any interference from monarchs, asserting that no king has the authority to appoint the Iyaloja of Oyo State.
