Israeli Prime Minister Denies Ceasefire Amid Gaza Conflict
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has officially denied reports of a ceasefire in Gaza. Contrary to claims suggesting a pause to facilitate aid entry and the evacuation of foreigners to Egypt, Netanyahu’s office issued a statement clarifying that there is currently no ceasefire in place.

As the conflict with Hamas extends into its tenth day, the death toll from Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip has risen to approximately 2,750, according to the Gaza health ministry.

This surge in casualties follows Hamas’s deadly attack on southern Israel last week. The ongoing Israeli air campaign continues to target various locations in the Palestinian coastal enclave.

The Gaza health ministry, under Hamas control, reports that around 9,700 people have been injured as a result of the intense Israeli airstrikes. The situation underscores the persistent and escalating nature of the conflict, with no immediate resolution in sight.

The developments highlight the challenges in reaching a diplomatic solution, with both sides sustaining significant losses.

As the conflict unfolds, the international community closely monitors the situation, calling for a cessation of hostilities and efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in the region.
