The Committee on Employment, Labour, and Productivity, under Senator Plang’s leadership, stands ready to expedite the passage of a new Act once negotiations conclude and the bill is transmitted to the National Assembly.

While commending the Federal Government for proactive measures that averted a nationwide strike, Senator Plang emphasized the importance of honoring agreements reached. He urged all parties involved to avoid reneging on the terms outlined in the memorandum of understanding.

Senator Plang reiterated the committee’s commitment to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) principle of decent work.
