There was a large turnout of voters in virtually all the polling units.

Also, despite the peaceful conduct of voters, there were complaints in some of the units that the BVAS technology was slow and keeping voters on the queue for too long.

However, the presiding officers in areas where BVAS seemed to be slow have complained to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for proper and swift action.

Military personnel were also stationed at entering ports between Ado and Iyin Ekiti, Ifaki Ekiti at border towns .

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) were also seen parading around to ensure orderliness and peaceful conduct of the poll in all the towns.

Some of the agents were also seen complaining about reported cases of vote buying and such complaints were being handled by security operatives.

At Ifaki Ekiti ward 1 unit 3, the Senator representing Ekiti Central, Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi lauded the INEC for the introduction of BVAS, saying any technology deploys to enhance electoral process and guarantee the sanctity of election is welcomed.

He noted that the process has been peaceful and orderly, praying that the best candidate emerge at the end of the election.
