On the news making the rounds that she had stepped down from the race to support a particular candidate, the ACP flagbearer said, “It is a lie concocted by those afraid of my rising profile. Having come this far, it would be cowardly of me to back out.”

Dejoymedia had reported that other governorship candidates were already coming out to cast their votes.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the governorship election, Bisi Kolawole, had cast his vote at Unit 001, Ward 8 in Efon-Ekiti, Efon local government area of the state.
