The singer could be heard singing the lyrics, ”abiye ni mi, Oruko mi ni yen. Mo de bo, mo ru, mo ye,” (I am a sacrifice, that’s my name. I am a sacrifice accepted by God, that’s my name).

The term Aboru Aboye, mostly used by Ifa worshippers in reverence to the deity, has since become a hot topic on social media.

Alabi, who is currently in the United States for her “Praise The Almighty Concert, in an exclusive phone chat with our correspondent refused to comment on the issue stating that The PUNCH had already published stories relating to the ‘Aboru boye’ controversy.

”After you wrote, published post on social media? Hmmmm. No Comment,” she remarked when pressed by our correspondent for her thoughts on the controversy the viral video has generated.
