The Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Mrs Olubunmi Fabamwo, made this known on Wednesday while speaking at the Year 2023 Promotion Exercise Revised Structure Training Programme for eligible civil servants for 2023 promotion between grade levels 6 and 10 at Alausa, Ikeja.

The training, which is one of the requirements for the promotion of the eligible officers, is expected to expose and prepare the officers for the responsibilities ahead in the next grade level, Fabamwo said.

“We want to look at cross-cutting issues across all cadres and disciplines. We want our officers to have global knowledge about issues that will affect their performance on their jobs in addition to being very knowledgeable about their various professions,” Fabamwo said.

She  further stated that different innovations were being introduced to the annual promotion exercise to ensure that officers to be promoted have the required knowledge, expertise and competence to effectively perform their duties in line with their job descriptions.

She admonished those to be promoted to be steadfast and dedicated in their duties and reciprocate the good gesture of the state government while justifying the emoluments that come with the new anticipated grade levels.
