The United Football Club of Saki from the Oke-ogun region of oyo state yesterday outgunned the eitherto undefeatable mighty 3SC Shooting Stars FC of Ibadan at the Semi finals of the ongoing National Challenge Cup qualifying competition at the Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba by four goals to three (on penalty kicks) after a 2-all draw at regulation time.
With this historic defeat, the ASABARI Warriors ended the long years of dominance by the Shooting Stars representing oyo state in the oldest football tournament in the country.
The Saki lads are therefore looking good to represent the state at the national competition this year if they could shoot through their last match against Housing Corporation FC of Ibadan later today in the last series of matches.
