Relying on the popular saying that politics is about participating in, and winning elections, a sensitisation effort, anchored by some leaders of the party in Itesiwaju Local Government, has taken up the initiative to raise awareness amongst the general Party members as well as members of public.

This enlightenment meeting was held yesterday, Thursday, September 4, at Otu Town Hall, headquarters of the local government on the necessity of registering for, and collecting their voters cards during the ongoing continuous voter registration (CVR,) programme of INEC.
This, according to insider sources, is just one among other issues of interest to majority of party members which were also discussed as possible challenges to the party’s performance as the 2027 general election approaches, considering the current fragmentation, disunity in the party, versus the current strength of the ruling party in the Local Government.

As a result, the party arrived at a nine-point resolution agreed to by all members present from across all the wards in the Local Government and duly endorsed by the leaders listed in the communique issued at the end of deliberations. The Communique, as made available to dejoymedia.online, Thursday night:
