
The nation’s number one tax Administrator, Dr. Zacheus Adelabu Adedeji, Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service, in his valedictory remarks at Saki over the weekend, and before delivering President Tinubu’s condolence message, revealed to the audience how his political path into oyo was charted by Chief Michael Koleoso, when he was led to the Chief by Alh Fatai Ibikunle, a Strategist of progressive politics genre.

At First Baptist Church, Ajegunle, Saki, venue of the funeral service for the late political icon, businessman and a strong pillar of progressive politics, Pa Koleoso, who, as mentor, guardian, advised him then that, as a young man, he must have and maintain a second office, and should not take poltics as full time job. An advice he has held on to since then whilst urging the young politicians of today to follow this path.

This, according to him, was why he felt deeply touched by Papa’s passing, which to him is a personal loss, not only of a mentor but also of a father figure, adding that he remained emotionally attached to the family. Speaking further, on President’s message to the family, the people of Saki, Oke-Ogun and the entire Oyo State and the nation in general, to whom he said the president expressed his sympathy for the great loss of a dependable political leader, beloved father, astute businessman, community leader and a hugely benevolent political icon of over six decades.

The President therefore, admonished all to be consoled by the fact that Chief Michael Koleoso lived a fulfilled and impactful life, having touched several lives with the various developmental projects and infrastructures he was able to attract to Saki and Oke-Ogun, with the latest of such being the Sokoto-Badagry highway passing through the major towns of the region, which he said came directly from Mr President whom he described as “Infrastructure President”.
He pleaded for patience and understanding from Nigerians to bear the temporary “foundation laying pains” for the President’s reform policies towards erecting the economic edifice of prosperity for all.
