After a challenging semi-final match against South Africa, the Nigerian team clinched a hard-earned victory, winning 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time.

Accompanying the Vice President were Governors Dapo Abiodun and Duoye Diri, Minister for Youth Dr. Jamila Ibrahim, Oil mogul Wale Tinubu, FIFA Council Member Amaju Pinnick, and NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau.

Channels Television reported substitute Kelechi Iheanacho as the hero, scoring the deciding penalty in the thrilling shootout victory.

The Super Eagles will now face either Ivory Coast or the Democratic Republic of Congo in the final. The match saw both teams scoring from penalties, with William Troost-Ekong and Teboho Mokoena netting for Nigeria and South Africa respectively.
