The EFCC confirmed the arrest, stating that the General Overseer of Faith On The Rock Ministry International deceived victims by promoting a non-existent intervention project through his NGO.

The scam promised a $20 million grant from the Ford Foundation, with victims paying N1.8 million each for registration forms.

Investigations revealed no connection between Ebonyi and the Ford Foundation, and the EFCC traced five properties acquired from his illicit gains.

Ebonyi continues to solicit subscribers on social media platforms for his fraudulent grant scheme.

He will face charges once investigations conclude.
