The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State commends the conduct of the Saturday re-run election that saw its candidate, Ibrahim Shittu, returned to the state House of Assembly for Saki West State Constituency.
The party attributes the success to INEC officials’ impartiality and security agencies’ professionalism. Despite considering the election unnecessary, the APC acknowledges the people’s support in the face of intimidation.
The party criticizes the ruling PDP for prioritizing a by-election in Saki amid other pressing issues in the state. The APC expresses gratitude to the people and pledges commitment to addressing current challenges.
“With the fresh mandate given to our party at the rerun poll against all odds, it is evident that Nigeria still keeps faith with the Tinubu administration. We assure them that all the current challenges facing the country will be fixed soonest, and the citizenry will be better for it.”
“We are, indeed, grateful to the good people of Saki for standing by their resolve to remain patriotic progressives. We also assure them that President Bola Tinubu, Senator Abdufatai Buhari, Hon. Tajudeen Kareem, and Hon. Ibrahim Shittu will continue to justify the confidence reposed.”
