Despite persistent pressure, Equatorial Guinea held their ground, securing a crucial draw against the 2013 champions. Alhassan Yusuf’s bright debut was marred by an injury, prompting substitutions to bolster the Nigerian attack.

Osimhen missed a golden opportunity in the 76th minute, resulting in a level scoreline. The Elephants’ resolute defense and goalkeeper Owono’s heroics denied the Super Eagles a chance to take the lead.

The match showcased both teams’ determination and defensive prowess, leaving fans eager for the Super Eagles’ upcoming performances in the tournament.
