Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has officially declared his intention to rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC) on December 15.
In a letter addressed to the state party chairman and executive council members, Adelabu outlined plans for a ceremony at the party’s state secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan.
He cited consultations with national leaders and executives as the basis for his return, emphasizing his commitment to collaborative efforts for the party’s goals.
Adelabu, who contested under the Accord party in the 2023 general elections, expressed enthusiasm for contributing to the APC-led development agenda in Oyo State.
The minister highlighted his role in President Tinubu’s administration and expressed optimism about a robust working relationship with the state executive, party leaders, and members.
He acknowledged his prior departure from the party during the crisis surrounding the state Congress and Primary Elections. However, Adelabu underscored that consultations with national leaders had led to his decision to return to the APC.
Looking ahead, Adelabu conveyed his dedication to achieving the renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and the party, particularly with the aim of installing an APC-led government at the state level in 2027 for the unprecedented development of Oyo State.
