Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde mourns the tragic loss of three traditional rulers from Oriire Local Government Area in a fatal road accident.
The royal fathers, namely the Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula, and Alayetoro of Ayetoro, were on their way to a social function when their car collided with a truck.
Governor Makinde expressed deep sorrow over the news, offering condolences to the immediate families, the people of Oriire Local Government, and Ogbomosoland. He also extended sympathies to the Council of Obas and Chiefs in the state.
In a statement, the governor prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased. He further sought divine strength for the immediate families, subjects, and the entire state to bear the weight of this tragic loss.
Makinde remarked, “It is a very sad and saddening development. We can only pray that the Almighty God will grant repose to their souls and grant their families, their subjects, and the whole state the fortitude to bear the loss.”
