The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, is committed to positioning Nigeria as a maritime nation by overseeing the completion of key projects within the ministry.
This announcement was made during an event held in Lagos on Thursday, where he charged heads of agencies under the ministry to work towards realizing their deliverables.
The statement, signed by the ministry’s Director, Press and Public Relations, Olujimi Oyetomi, highlighted the cascading down of the performance bond to the ministry’s directors and heads of agencies.
This three-day event aimed at fostering collective commitment to the sector’s deliverables culminated in a signing ceremony led by the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency’s Director, Bashir Jamoh, followed by other agency heads.
“The execution of the performance bond, and completion of key projects within the ministry, would no doubt position Nigeria as one of the maritime nations in the world,” emphasized the minister.
