The focus was on “Broadband Availability and Potentials of Data Revolution.” Dr. Maida highlighted the correlation between broadband access and GDP growth, emphasizing the role of high-speed internet in economic development.

The Executive Vice Chairman presented growth statistics and unveiled the NCC’s alignment with the Ministerial Strategic Plan, focusing on broadband infrastructure, digital empowerment, and specific targets for the coming years.

The strategic plan aims to boost Nigeria’s digital economy and enhance digital literacy.

In conclusion, Dr. Maida reiterated the NCC’s commitment to supporting the government’s agenda through diligent broadband strategy implementation.

He called for collaboration with stakeholders to build robust broadband infrastructure for collective prosperity in Nigeria.
