A Diaspora chapter of Ipapo Descendants Union based in Chicago ILL. USA has enriched the town’s purse with a whooping 1.2 million naira as part of their contributions to the development of their homeland- Ipapo.
This was conveyed through their representative ; Hon Adebanjo Amuda at the 51st Annual General Assembly of the ancient Town’s indigenes from all over the country and the world, which rounded off yesterday after about three days deliberations.
According to Alh Banjo, speaking on behalf of the chapter’s Chairman- Pastor Banji Ige; he said the diaspora chapter commended the efforts of all those in charge of affairs of their homeland under the Obaship of HRM, Yekeen Ademola Abioye, Aare Jimoh O. Adebayo, members of the the Executive, the various committees and the entire people of Ipapo towards the continuous uplifting of the community infrastructures.
They appealed for vigilance so as to reduce criminal activities and therefore attract more investments to the town, and also advocated for unity amongst the people devoid of religious intolerance that the town is known for from time immemorial.
They felicitated with all, who were gathered from accross the globe and wished them safe returns to their various destinations.
