While expressing a commitment to legacy projects, Governor Makinde assured ongoing attention to the welfare of the workforce.

The cash awards, totaling an additional N2.2 billion on the state’s monthly wage bill, are set to be paid from October onwards until a new minimum wage agreement is reached.

The governor urged understanding from workers, highlighting the need to address infrastructure, health, and education gaps in the state.

The declaration received positive feedback from the Nigeria Labour Congress, with Chairman Comrade Kayode Martins expressing appreciation and signaling the end of grievances following discussions with the government.
