41 Internet Fraudsters Convicted in Oyo and Ogun States

The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has achieved convictions for 41 internet fraudsters in Oyo and Ogun States.

These individuals pleaded guilty to one count each, leading to sentences imposed by various judges.

The convicted individuals, including Siyanbade Timilehin Omobosola and Ilugbo Emmanuel Adekunle, received jail terms ranging from three months to one year.

Some were also given the option of fines, with orders to restitute victims and forfeit recovered items to the Federal Government.

The arrests and convictions resulted from EFCC investigations into internet-related offenses.

The courts, having considered the submissions and prayers of the prosecution and defense counsels, convicted and sentenced the individuals accordingly.

The convicts were ordered to restitute their various victims and forfeit all items recovered from them to the Federal Government of Nigeria, including a green color Toyota Highlander with Registration Number: LSD – 400 – GX and one sky blue color Toyota Camry with Registration Number: DG – 453 – FT.
