Prominent Nigerian figure and former National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, Chief Alaba Lawson, has passed away.
The renowned educationist and founder of Alaba Lawson Group of Schools, Abeokuta, died early Saturday.
The sad news was conveyed in a statement by AbdulRahman Maku, the Executive Secretary of Abeokuta Chambers of Commerce.
Lawson, born on January 18, 1951, was a distinguished business magnate, entrepreneur, and advocate for women’s empowerment.
As the Iyalode of Egbaland and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ABEOCCIMA, her contributions were significant.
