Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has appointed Major Adesagba Adekoya (rtd) as the chairman of Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA).
The appointment is effective from October 23, 2023. Major Adekoya, a retired military officer with a diverse background, previously served in various roles in the Nigerian Army.
His extensive experience and academic qualifications, including an MSc in Management and Leadership, position him to lead OYRTMA with dedication.
The governor encourages him to discharge his duties with loyalty and diligence.
The appointment letter, signed by the Chief of Staff to the governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, conveys Makinde’s congratulations to the new chairman, emphasizing the importance of absolute loyalty in the role.
Major Adekoya’s previous role was as the Operation and Service Manager of the Halogen Group, a private security outfit.
His military career includes significant positions such as Officer Commanding, 31 Artillery Brigade Provost Company, and Deputy Commandant, Nigerian Army Corps of the Military Police Camp.
With a wealth of experience, both in the military and the private sector, Major Adekoya is well-equipped to contribute to the efficient management of road traffic in Oyo State.
