The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, is expected to constitute the Supreme Court panel to hear the appeal arising from the Presidential Election Petitions Court’s judgment.
The PEPC upheld President Bola Tinubu’s election, prompting the candidates of the PDP and Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, to vow to approach the Supreme Court.
With the 14-day deadline for filing their appeal ending on Wednesday, the CJN is likely to constitute the panel on that day.
The identities of the Justices on the panel remain unknown, and Peter Obi’s legal team plans to file the appeal on Tuesday without changing its lawyers.
