Moreover, the Osun State Government has received a sum of two billion naira out of the designated five billion naira palliative fund allocated by the Federal Government. The specific payment procedures and protocols will be outlined by the palliative committee during their forthcoming meeting.

The statement further recalls, “It can be recalled that the state received 3,000 50kg bags of rice from the federal government, and it will be shared with 2,700 50kg bags of rice from the second batch approved. 14,000 bags starting tomorrow while the state is still expecting 11,300 50kg bags of rice and 3,000 metric tonnes of maize.”

In light of the upcoming distribution of the rice palliatives, the government urges citizens to maintain orderliness. The commitment of the government is to ensure that the federal government’s palliatives reach their intended recipients across the state in a fair and efficient manner.
