Former Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Nigerian Communications Commission- NCC, Professor Adeolu Akande has marked his birthday this year by donating various food items to the less privileged.

Prof. Akande in a remark delivered on his behalf at the JUVENILE CORRECTIONAL CENTER, CHESHIRE,Ibadan by members of the ADEOLU AKANDE FOUNDATION said the gesture was to call the attention of the rich to the agony and the plight of the needy in the society.

“As we celebrate in our homes,we should always remember the poor, the needy and the abandoned, particularly the children. Government alone cannot cater for the needs of these vulnerable members of our society ”
“Instead of lavishing money on frivolous and unnecessary things, the rich should always endeavour to remember the poor and the less privileged “,he submitted.

It would be recalled that Adeolu Akande, Esq. had on different occasions donated food items to the Center .
