A group of former LG Chairmen in Oyo State- KOSELERI 2015, has, while congratulating Mr Zacchaeus Adedeji on his recent appointment as Special Adviser, Revenue, applauded Mr. President’s choice of the former Finance Commissioner in the State as one of the best for the country, assuring the President that Adedeji has what it takes to deliver on the mandate.
According to a statement made available to Dejoymedia in Ibadan Saturday night, the group through its Coordinator, Hon. Adisa Olarinre Adeniji described the appointee as “round peg in a round hole” based on his antecedents while serving as Commissioner. He was able to put in place strategies at both local and state levels which shot up the IGR of the State by over 150% “we are confident he will repeat same at the federal level” the statement added.
Adedeji who held the Finance portfolio in the Cabinet of the former Governor Sen. Abiola Ajimobi and also immediate past executive secretary of National Sugar Development Council (NSDC) is a first class scholar with varied experience in public finance and tax administration, will no doubt live up to the expectations of both the President and Nigerians in this era of quest for more revenue for provision of critical infrastructure for Nigerians.
The group further stressed that Adedeji fits perfectly into the “Renewed Hope” agenda of the administration, as well as the “the government of national competence” as envisioned by Mr President, the core reason the group is proud to have served the people of Oyo State with him under the leadership of former governor Abiola Ajimobi and therefore wished him a resounding success in this new national call to service.
