A popular socialite and businessman, Obi Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana, and his wife, Ebele, renewed their marriage vows on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. The event, which had family, friends and associates of the couple in attendance, was held in Abuja.
Some of the notable personalities in attendance were the past president of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc and former gubernatorial candidate, Anambra State, Valentine Ozigbo; real estate mogul, Ned Okonkwo; fashion designers, Seyi Adekunle, aka Seyi Vodi, and Mimi Yina, aka Medlin Boss; and businessman, Emeka Okonkwo, aka E-Money.
Some drummers were on the ground to perform for the hosts at the entrance of the hall. Obi danced excitedly as the drummers played and sang in Yoruba.
The ball commenced as the five sons of the hosts ushered their parents into the hall. Clerics were also present to bless their union. It is paramount to note that the cleric, who blessed their union 15 years ago, was the same person who presided over the renewal of their marriage vows.
The wedding cake was magnificent and was one of the objects of attraction at the event. There was also a live band that serenaded the guests. A singer, Precious Emmanuel, performed to the business mogul and his wife, as they danced together.
The couple also played a shoe game that was filled with fun and laughter. One of the anchors of the game was popular comedian, Funny Bone. After the game, Obi showed his romantic side as he assisted his wife to put on her shoes.
Obi wore a white suit, complemented with a black trouser. On her part, Ebele adorned a silver beaded gown, which bespoke elegance and class. The hall was well decorated with large chandeliers and flowers, which gave the event a glamorous look.
Artistes, such as Patoranking, Timi Dakolo and Johnny Drille, entertained the couple and their guests. Evidently joyful at how far they had come, the couple danced excitedly as they had a fun-filled day.
The second entrance of the couple saw Obi wearing a blue suit, while his wife adorned a lovely yellow dress.
The wife, who is a lawyer, also launched a book. It was indeed a beautiful moment to watch as the groom sang for his bride. The couple’s children were not left out as they had a presentation for their parents.
A popular comedian and filmmaker, Ayo Makun, and Ned Okonkwo, made the toast to the couple. Other entertainers present included Broda Shaggi, Ubi Franklin, Enioluwa, Lasisi Elenu, Real Warri Pikin and her husband, Ikechukwu.
