As 2023 elections draw nearer, about a month away, politicians are not leaving any stone unturned, and this might have informed the realease of the sum of 420,750,000 naira to the 33 local government areas of Oyo State by Gov. Seyi Makinde.
This was conveyed to the LG Chairmen through a memo from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs signed by the Director, Local Government Affairs- Mr L.A Aransi, for the Hon.Commissioner.
According to the memo, each local government should receive a sum of 12,750,000 naira for the empowerment of market women, widows and students in all the 33 local government areas of the state, the memo said.
