Mr. Bili Apena, Head, Monitoring and Surveillance Unit, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, (LASTMA) was recently conferred with the prestigios Fellowship Award by the Institute of Corporate Administration.
He was presented with the award certificate and executive wall plaque at the 2022 MEGAICONS Symposium and Awards Conference held at the conference hall of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos State on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
At the award ceremony with the theme: Renewing the Spirit of Enterprise in our New Economy, the President of the institute noted that Apena was conferred with the award in recognition and appreciation of his dedication and commitment to service, as well as, his upwardly mobile and visionary approach to administrative matters, professionalism in service, and public spiritedness.
According to the Institute President, ” I write to convey the approval of your nomination for the conferment of Fellowship Award for Distinguished Professional Contribution to Public Administration by the Membership Council of the Institute.
Furthermore, the Institute President stated that the offer qualifies Mr Apena as a senior member of the Institute and he is henceforth entitled to append the designatory letters FCAI (Fellow Corporate Administration Institute) after his name.
Apena is an astute public servant who is known for his no-nonsense approach to every task he has be given to carry out. He is equally a highly disciplined man that has brought expertise and professionalism to public service.
Apena holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from then Ogun State University and a Master’s degree in Transportation Planning and Management (MTP&M),University of Lagos
He also attended several executives programmes.
Apena is one of the most committed and disciplinary LASTMA officers in Lagos. Other LASTMA Officers have very high regards for him due to his no nonsense approach and thoroughness when it comes to discipline of officers who erred on the job
No doubt, his conferement of the FCAI award is long over due.
