Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress Party (APC), Professor Adeolu Akande has called on well- to-do Nigerians to always remember the less- privileged in their acts of charity in accordance with the teaching of this season of the “feast of sacrifice”
Barr. Akande in a congratulatory message to the Muslim Umah released in Ibadan last night urged the adherents of Islamic faith and Nigerians in general to appreciate that the masses are at the receiving end of the biting economic crisis ravaging the entire world and therefore urged them to provide succour and soothe their pains.
Professor Akande also called on Nigerians to use the season to pray to God for His intervention in the affairs of the country and to continue to support the leadership of the country to pilot the ship of the nation successfully.
According to the Professor of Political Science, the nation is going through a challenging time and all hands must be on deck to cooperate with the government to make life more abundant for Nigerians.
He explained that the global economic crisis is taking its toll on Nigerians, and that both the government and the privileged class need to support the people to successfully tackle the economic challenges.
