A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Ogun State chapter, Adekunle Ayoola, has expressed his plan to partner with local government chairmen to alleviate poverty in the state.
Ayoola gave this assurance, according to a statement on Sunday, while he hosted the executives of the Odogbolu Local Government led by its Chairman, Ladejobi Adebayo, at the Ijebu Ode Club.
He said, “As the founder of Omooba Obaruwa Foundation from Odogbolu Ward 1, the essence of the gathering was to identify with the grassroots development of the present administration in the local government and declare his support for the party.
“I thank the LGA chairman and his team for their commitment to making life a lot easier for the rural dwellers and I pledge that I am ready to join forces with them in the area of education and poverty alleviation to further support the good government of the Governor Dapo Abiodun administration. What is also uppermost in my mind is the success of the second term bid of our hardworking governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.”
Speaking at the event, Adebayo also assured residents that he will partner with individuals and corporate bodies to ensure development in his LGA.
“I have heard of his interventions here and there across the local government and that he had been doing it with no air of pride but with all humility and sense of service to humanity.
“We will not hesitate to forge alliances with corporate bodies and individuals who are always ready to add values to the efforts at expanding frontiers of development in the local government,” he said.
