The Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC),Professor Adeolu Akande while congratulating Chief Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress(APC) on his election as governor of Ekiti State on Saturday has assured party faithfuls that same feat will be repeated in OSUN state in the next few weeks.
In a statement released in Abuja on Sunday, Professor Akande stated that the landslide victory in the election- winning fifteen local government areas out of the sixteen was highly commendable and a demonstration of the confidence the Nigerian electorate have in the APC.
Professor Akande noted that Chief Oyebanji was coming into government with an impeccable resume having served as Commissioner and Secretary to the government of Ekiti State.
He stated that Chief Oyebanji has been well endowed witin the ethos of progressive governance thereby assuring the people of Ekiti state that their faith in Oyebanji is not misplaced.
He will surely deliver on the electoral promises made to the good people of Ekiti State.
Professor Akande counseled Chief Oyebanji to see himself as an ambassador of the APC whose performance would rub off the party particularly in the build up to the 2023 general elections.
He prayed that the success of APC in Ekiti State would be replicated in Osun State when the electorates in the state head for the polls to elect a new governor in another few weeks.
