Ahead of the All Progressives Congress, APC special convention slated to hold between 6th and 8th June 2023, a top supporter of President Buhari and member of the Presidential steering committee, Hon Obidike Chukwuebuka has called on to him to allow APC delegates to decide the fate of 13 presidential aspirants successfully screened by the Oyegun led screening committee.
Obidike made this call while addressing some party stakeholders who attended a One-day interactive session organized by APC support groups. He stressed the need to be careful on how the issues of the presidential primaries is being handled in order not to hit up the polity.
The former National Youth leader aspirant said that the rigorous processes passed through by delegates during the state congresses cannot to truncated. He called on the president to allow delegates exercise their rights to vote.
Obidike is of the opinion that the party may lose greater relevance if the presidency does the alleged endorsement.
